We purchased this plant many years ago, and it has survived two 0 degree F winters without any damage. Resembling A. striata, the long round pencil size green leaves arch outward to 20" from the central clump to form an impalingly perfect rosette. Our plant finally flowered (a 5' stalk of tiny white flowers), and these plants are grown from our seed. A row of these around the vegetable garden should work wonders to keep pesky creatures at bay.
