Web-Only! We saw this charming little species on our expedition to north Vietnam in 2005. The short stems rarely exceed 1' tall, topped with very glossy green leaves. The unusual flowers resemble a pink hood housing a winding set of stairs leading to a tall white snow cone. The flowers are followed by 1' tall spikes with small clusters of blue berries.
