Geranium incanum 'Sugar Plum' (Sugar Plum Hardy Geranium) slide #28792

Geranium incanum 'Sugar Plum' (Sugar Plum Hardy Geranium)

Sun to Part SunZone: 7b-9, at least 12" tall Origin: S. Africa

Web-Only! This purple-flowered selection of the South African native (SW Cape to East Cape) G. incanum makes a wonderful textural foil in the summer garden. This true geranium, not to be confused with pelargoniums, makes an open mound to 3' wide of very airy, finely-cut green leaves, which are topped starting in late spring and sporadically through summer with large, lavender purple, saucer-like flowers. We have found this very easy to grow in well-drained, full sun sites. In colder climates, G. 'Sugar Plum' is a perfect textural foil in summer combination pots. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
