Crinum 'Sacramento' has a mysterious background, but is reportedly a Les Hannibal cross between two forms of C. bulbispermum, one of which originated in the town of Kimberly, South Africa. C. bulbispermum 'Sacramento' makes an often solitary, 3' wide clump of arching blue-green foliage topped, starting in late spring, with 3' tall stalks of flowers that have particularly nice red-and-white striped, anise-fragranced flowers. Since C. 'Sacramento' rarely offsets, it is produced only as seedlings which come true to type. For us in NC, it is the earliest crinum to flower, often producing the first scape in late April. Pot size: 24 fl. oz (709.77 ml)
